The Theology Department is responsible for the development and growth of our students’ faith life. This development takes place through classroom instruction and participation in a variety of religious programs offered by Campus Ministry.
To encourage the students to respond to the gospel call of serving the poor and needy, students must participate in the S.I.G.N. (Service in God’s Name) service program. Each year that a student attends RHS, he or she must complete 15 service hours from a list of approved agencies.
Campus Ministry sponsors events such as the Living Rosary, Meet Me at the Pole, the Living Way of the Cross, and school liturgies. School-wide liturgies are celebrated at St. Gerard every three weeks and on holy days of obligations. Furthermore, weekday Mass is offered twice a week before school in our chapel.
Eucharistic Adoration is held every Friday throughout the school day. Reconciliation is also offered at least twice a year with the bishop and priests from around the diocese. In addition, the St. John Neumann chapel is available to students throughout the day for personal prayer and reflection. |
