Did You Know? Modern school media centers are no longer just book-filled rooms. Modern school media centers house computers, DVD’s, digital & video cameras, LCD projectors, etc. In order for any school to call itself excellent, it must have an excellent media center. Facts Students at RHS have access to numerous computer stations with internet access and CD-ROM/DVD capability, video & digital cameras, videos, DVD’s, a copier, scanner, and color printer. Students have access to online reference subscriptions such as EBSCO Reference Resourses for Louisiana Schools, SIRS Researcher, Worldbook online, and Abridged Reader's Guide Online. In addition, students access the card catalog on computer using the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) program. RHS also has an excellent and up-to-date reference collection. The RHS Library/Media Center meets the needs of its students. Future Plans Plans include continuing to upgrade the media center's A-V and online subscription collection, increasing the number of computer stations for student use and providing laptop computers for classroom use.
