The Redemptorist High School softball team has a new head coach. First-year Head Coach Lance Reed comes to Redemptorist with eight years of experience and five as a head coach. He worked for three years at Notre Dame as head coach he led the Lady Pios to three district titles and one trip to the State Championship Tournament. Prior to Notre Dame Coach Reed led the Lady Warriors of Oakdale High School to two playoff apperances in two years and one trip to the State Tournament. He has an overall record of 95 - 40 and he looks forward to continuing the rich winning traditions of the Lady Wolves softball program. Coach Reed is originally from Wille Platte, LA. He is 33 years old and has served in the miliatry. He is a graduate of University of Louisiana of Lafayette in 2003. He has a six year old son "Tanner". Softball is open to all girls in grades 7th - 12th.
Season Highlights Current Record 6-5 The Lady Wolves recently swept False River Academy handing the Lady Gators (11-2) their first losses of the year. They beat the Gators 7-6 and then 7-0. Lainey Roussell went 8-6 on the weekend. She was 4-4 in the second game, in which she hit for the cycle (HR, 3B, 2B, 1B) with 5 RBI. She leads the team with a .464 batting average. Freshman Blakli Entremont threw a two-hitter in the second game against FRA. She has 55 strikeouts and a 5-3 overall record.
