The Redemptorist High School softball team has a new head coach. First-year Head Coach Lance Reed comes to Redemptorist with eight years of experience and five as a head coach. He worked for three years at Notre Dame as head coach he led the Lady Pios to three district titles and one trip to the State Championship Tournament. Prior to Notre Dame Coach Reed led the Lady Warriors of Oakdale High School to two playoff apperances in two years and one trip to the State Tournament. He has an overall record of 95 - 40 and he looks forward to continuing the rich winning traditions of the Lady Wolves softball program. Coach Reed is originally from Wille Platte, LA. He is 33 years old and has served in the miliatry. He is a graduate of University of Louisiana of Lafayette in 2003. He has a six year old son "Tanner". Softball is open to all girls in grades 7th - 12th.

They recently went to the Sulphur Tournament and went 3-1. Katelyn Borgoyne hit a walk off game winning home run in the final game against South Cameron High School. She is batting .423 on the year with 2 home runs and 20 RBIs. Freshman hurler Blakli Entremont (daughter of Chuck '82 and Tonya) is 11-7 on the year with a 118 strikeouts. The Lady Wolves also defeated Class 4A power Cecilia 14-4 in the Lutcher Tournament. The Lady Wolves are currently 14th in the Class 3A Power Ratings.
